Splash Commode Backrests

The purpose of Splash Backrests is to provide the same support to the individual as in their wheelchair as some wheelchair users spend extended periods in a commode or shower chair and their safety or support is at risk due to reduced seating support. The Splash Support Backrest provides full height, width back support for less active users who require more external support. Full length channels in the backrest shell enable easy attachment of external adjustable trunk lateral supports and multiple holes throughout the shell for harnesses, headrest and other complex supports. When used with the BAC system this backrest easily encompasses asymmetrical body shapes may arise through kyphosis, lordosis and scoliosis. The bubble contour foam pad design uses the unique “bubble” shaping to enhance immersion, redistribute pressure and provide air channels for constant air-exchange.
