Sidewinder Suspension System
The Dreamline Sidewinder Suspension system adds a dynamic function to any Dreamline Support, S3, STX & Contour backrests without requiring any permanent modifications to the wheelchair frame. Resistance can be increased or decreased to suit the individual. The Sidewinder system still enables full quick-release backrest removal from the wheelchair frame & can be retro fitted at any time.
Studies including RESNA have found that Dynamic backrests may offer many benefits to some users including reduction in extensor tone, increased strength & trunk control, improved bowel motion, injury prevention, reduction in pain, improved sitting tolerance & protection to equipment from breakage…& the list goes on.
