Woven Air Sprint

The Woven Air Sprint Cushion is an ultra-lightweight cushion specifically developed for active users. The air/foam hybrid design makes for a particular stable cushion so maximum energy is transferred into propelling. Air Tubes in the ischial region help prevent pressure injuries. Low lateral contouring helps with transfers. No maintenance is required – the air tubes are sealed & do not require inflation. The slim 65mm height under the thighs helps lower the center of gravity.

STX2 with Woven Air

Our beloved STX2 Fluid Gel cushion now incorporates Woven Air Technology, providing this highly adjustable cushion with the benefits of pressure redistribution and immersion through flotation, all without the need for inflation.

G7 with Woven Air

The Dreamline G7 fluid gel cushion now can come with the option to replace the gel with our Woven Air Inserts. Adding floatation without inflation all while keeping the flexibility to accommodate asymmetrical postures. Its mild lateral contouring profile facilitates both side and frontal transfers.

The S5 Cushion is a soft comfortable Fluid “Cluster Gel” cushion which suits wheelchair users who do not have postural asymmetries & who do not require a slim cushion. With its soft comfortable feel, it is also an excellent choice for aged care.

Woven Air has unique properties which enable full flotation through each quarter of the cushion without ever needing to inflate it. “Air tubes” are woven back & forth through an “Air Pocket” which holds them in a vertical position so that pressure dispersion & equalization transfer is focused vertically for maximum immersion. The cushion is laterally very stable & doesn’t bunch during transfers. The base of the “Air Pocket” inner is a hook receptive loop fabric enabling the use of positioning pads for addressing pelvic obliquity etc.

The Sprint Cushion utilizes the benefits of Woven Air in the ischial region of the cushion combining it with a firm closed cell foam base & thigh support combined with a comfort high resilient layer added to the thigh region. The frontal foam section provides enhanced stability, reduces pelvic forward migration & makes transfers on & off the cushion easier. Like the Woven Air cushion, the Sprint cushion enables positioning pads to be added to address asymmetrical postures.

The fully adjustable structural base has been designed to work with the Woven Air inserts to redistribute pressure away from at risk areas. The firm base provides stability while the comfort wrap gives resilient comfort, and the Woven Air inserts redistribute and equalize pressure. The deep contours are fully adjustable to support both a symmetrical and asymmetrical sitting position and adjustable positioning pads address pelvic obliquity, pelvic tilt, pelvic rotation, femoral rotation and wind sweeping. Removable thigh wedges are included to address hamstring shortening etc.

Pressure is dispersed & equalized from at risk regions by fluid gel packs & the contours of the cushion. The soft foam adds comfort to long term sitting. The Gel Fluid packs can be interchanged with Air bladders to make for weight reduction & air flotation pressure dispersion.
